About the Author

Joan Russon grew up on a 160 acre farm in a rural community in Utah. Here she learned to love nature, work with the soil, and have a relationship with animals. Her pet dog was named "Stinky" and her rescue horse was called "Buck". Along with 27 cats, 10 cows, 2 dogs and 10,000 turkeys, she enjoyed the farm life. She married LaVell Russon and became Mom to 5 wonderful sons. The love of nature and animals was passed on to one of her sons, Ron, who makes her proud every day.
